Assalamualaikum Wr Wb.
With all due respect to the honorable judges, to the teacher from all Senior High Schools in Bekasi, and all the audience here, ladies and gentlemen… Good Morning!!
First of all, let us thank Allah SWT because of his blessings, we all can gather here on this sunny morning. Shalawat and prayer, we will say to our greatest prophet Muhammad SAW, his family, his friends and his followers. Amen.
In this chance, I would like to tell you my speech that has the theme “Go Green!”

Saving Our Planet is a program that was persuading the earthlings so that they would become more concern and care to their entire environment. It was because the civilization that has been created by the modern people in this millennium era had affected so many destructive impacts which are really needed to be concerned. These impacts are causing a new problem, The “Global Warming”. In prediction, that in the last 100 years the temperatures of our planet has increased by 1’ every year. Meanwhile, the ocean surface has increased for about 1 meter from its former level. The problem is, modern people not only wanted to increase their prosperity, but also increase their rate of comfortable & luxurious life.
The situation was very different if we looked back to the last century where the pollution, the industrial garbage, and the toxin gases were friendlier. Friendlier, because on the 19th Century the technologies improvement and the consumerism character was not yet significant. Or should we say in this millennium era, the Earth exploitation and exploration were causing the crucial problem for the earthlings.
How crucial the earth environmental problems we face are for example: The protected animals & plants from certain species nearly extinct, the plantation sector is causing another problem for environment & ecosystem, forest logging without reboization, and the impact of mines exploitation that cannot be recycled and maintenance of mine sector, etc. For us, the youth generation is asking to the politicians and the government especially in Indonesia, “Why do those problems I mentioned left uncared without any preventive actions?” In fact, our ex-Minister of Environment of “Orde Baru” era Prof. Dr. Emil Salim has warned and gave us an opinion about will happen on the next 20 years. He said that the situation will be dangerous if there are no actions to prevent this. We need the proactive steps to maintain the nature and to rehabilitee what we have disrupted from every department that is connected with the environmental cases and our community. The example about the impact of human’s greed to the nature is The Lapindo Brantas case. That’s how the nature shows us their power. There’s not even one human could stand against the power of nature. Until now, there are no ways to stop the mud throwing and even the poisonous gases that is unwanted by the people.
We as the khalifah of the Earth can only begging, begging, and begging to the nature and destroy the nature. But when we must give something to the nature or maintain the nature, we feel that we don’t want to! Is the nature retaliating our doings? When we think deeply over this I guess the answer is “yes”, the nature is angry to us. The nature’s balance was really disturbed by the mortal’s hands and this behavior has spread widely over the world because of our hedonism.
The question is “How”? How do we realize collectively for the world’s life so that so that the Earth could become a better place to live…?
We as the youth generations, the lines of the civilization must be as one to create the vision & mission to help the government and the people for watching over the reboization program and for the environment reparation that is caused by the industrialist and the people generally wherever they are. We as the youth generation without exception must be totally devote our bodies & wills for the sake of healthy world, comfortable world, and for the sake of better place to live…
I suggest to the government and the people of Indonesia to plant the cambium plants or the pot plants on every one of the house garden. Everyone, every people must be responsible for every single of plants. Imagine! If every people have 1 plant in one house, there are 200 millions of plants in Indonesia. This is a very good step to begin our mission to prevent the Global Warming. Start this on any time now! For my recommendation, the sansivieras (one of the most beautiful pot plant) is really good to kept because of its great use of anti-pollutant & anti-free radical. Besides, its beauty will decorate our house so that we won’t feel bad to buy it.
III. PENUTUP
Well, I guess that’s all I can tell. In the end, to show our devotion as the youngish, the lines to the future, we must be balanced it with faith and taqwa because those are our capitol to realize our wishes so that we can live in perfect harmony just as Allah SWT has confirmed to us.
Wassalamualaikum Wr Wb.

PIDATO TENTANG PERAN PELAJAR MUSLIM DALAM ERA GLOBALISASI

English Speech Contest
In the name of Allah the beneficent and the merciful

Praise is to Allah, the lord of the world, and the sequel is for those who keep their duty unto him. Further, there will be no hostility except against wrongdoers.
Blessing and salutation upon the most honorable prophet and messenger, his families, all his disciples, and those who follow them in goodness till the any of judgment.

In this good chance, I would like to deliver my speech by title;
THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC STUDENTS IN GLOBALIZATION ERA

As we know well that globalization is an era marked by missing the territorial limit of nation. It enables the nation culture interferences. So that, politics, economy, culture of nation can influence, color and inspire of the other nations policies.

Globalization gives not only positive effects of the rapid science, information and technology development but also brings about many religion and culture principle divergences of the nation. Those become the cause of a drop in autonomy and identity of the nation.

Happy brothers and sisters!
Let’s pay attention more what happens in our surroundings at present! Free sex, pornography, alcoholic drink and drugs become youth customs in this country. Most of them always imitate what becomes “up to date” without filtering and thinking before. And they never make balance between thought and desire, planning and implementation and between ability and action. In addition, they do not preserve the Islamic laws because they think that religion is the symbol only whereas, youth is the generation next of this country. So how this country’s future is if most of them get a drop in their moral values?.

Consequently, we are the next generation of this country; we have to keep ourselves by faith, beliefs and piety in facing the globalization era. And we have to be aware of conserving the Islamic laws. Moreover we are the Islamic students have obligation to fight against the weakness of our beloved nation.
Moslem brothers and sisters!

We should not keep silent when we know the negative changes that happen in our society because of globalization era. As Islamic students we ought to become figures in anticipating the negative effects of this global era.
Allah state in the noble Quran; (Waltakum minkum ummatan yad’una ilal khoiri wa ya’muruna bil ma’rufi wa yanhauna ‘anil munkar, wa ulaaika humul muflihuun)

Meaning: let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining alma’ruf and forbidding almunkar and those who are the successful man.
Dear brothers and sisters!

The Islamic students with their moral forces and Islamic studies must be proactive to guide what is and what globalization era is for and the purpose of it. So that, let’s hope for the best. They become the public figures and they can color the social and cultural lives of their society in achieving the goal. That’s good Moslem is a good country.

Happy brothers and sisters!
As the generation next we should;take the positive effects of globalization era only, raise our taqwa and realize our religious doctrine in our daily lives, become good figures for the society in facing globalization, information and communication technology.

Lomba Pidato Bahasa Inggris

Dalam kesempatan yang baik, saya ingin menyampaikan pidato saya dengan judul;

Assalamualaikum wr wb.
With all due respect to the honorable judges representing, to all of the teachers here attending, and to all of the audiences, ladies and gentlemen, good morning everyone!
First of all, let us thank Allah SWT which because of His blessings, we all can gather here on this event.
Shalawat and prayer we will say to our greatest prophet, Muhammad SAW, his family, his friends, and all of his followers. Amen!
In this opportunity, I would like to tell you my speech about education.
The growing quantity of school age children and a large fast growing of each education graduates, were not followed by the enough and fast addition of infrastructure and education facilities. It causes problems for the government to provide "education and teaching" for all citizens as mandated by Basic State Law.
This issue is crucial because we have the various levels of social-economic-cultural differences. Then for the first time, the application of Repelita (rencana pembangunan lima tahun or five years development planning) with emphasis on economic development is seen as the foundation for other aspects of national development. In education reform focused attention on efforts to repair and increase the quality of regulation and the opportunity to education.
Concerning about this, it is so hard to achieve only if we use a conventional way of the technology and communication, information, radio and television. In 2007 the government has set a national budget for education of 20% for primary, junior secondary and senior secondary school. Programs and activities that are not made solely on the basis of growing number of school buildings, teachers, books and others.

We can identify several alternatives, as follows:
1. Adding the capacity of high school that applied together with the addition of new schools.
2. Increasing the capacity of private schools.
3. Development of open schools with the media of correspondence, modules, radio broadcasting, television and others.
4. The establishment of the practical skills courses outside of school for society.

Ki Hajar Dewantara (1889-1959) was an educational figure who established education institution in the Taman Siswa. He was familiar with the philosophy of "tut wuri handayani, hing madya mangun karsa, hing ngarso sung tulada".
Dewantara classify education goal with the term of "tri-nga" (three “nga”, as “nga” is the last letter in the Javanese alphabet).
The first "Nga" is "ngerti"(understanding or intellectual aspects),
The second "Nga" is "ngrasa" (experiencing or affection aspects),
And the third "nga" is "nglakoni" (or aspects of teaching psychomotoric).
Formulate educational goals that include aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. According to Dewantara, it is the right of each person to set himself, therefore teaching must educate children to become independent in mind, thought and energy. Teaching should not only focus on intellectual mind because it can separate the educated people with others.
Finally, I hope the Indonesian people to improve and achieve more and create child-students more productive, creative, innovative and useful for the nation and country, creating high quality human resources that can be independent and meet the needs of universe.

Bahasa Indonesia

PIDATO TENTANG PERAN GENERASI MUDA

Contoh Pidato Bahasa Inggris "English Speech Contest"
Entitled "The Youth Responsibility/ Peran Generasi Muda'

In the name of Alloh the beneficent and the merciful.

In this good chance, I would like to deliver my speech by title;

THE YOUTH RESPONSIBILITY

Dear Moslem Brothers!

When we talk about the youngsters in the Indonesia, we often find in many articles and we ourselves even witness and support the development of nation. They are the hope of the nation who will carry out the struggle for the sake of the brighter future of the country. Similarly, they are at the same time, the hope of Islam religion who will strive for the sake of Islamic teaching in the next maintenance of the Islamic laws, who will safeguard the young Moslem generation at large from the influence of destructive western lifestyle, who will be the leaders for the next, it was yelled as : (subbanul yaum, rijalul ghoddi)

Today is young, tomorrow will be a leader.

This statement encourages us to pay attention to the young’s existence in the future. By knowing all the facts, we realize how important the role of the young generation has in the future. The youth supposedly symbolize the force that never becomes weak quickly. The youngsters play significant roles and have a great potency and energy that can be prided.

Dear Moslem in One Aqidah!

Therefore our religion enjoins us to be flexible Moslem leaders for the society who ultimately have to devote themselves for the development of Moslem community at large. Ironically in the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) era we witness the conducts of young people are always against the Islamic laws. We pay attention to many young people who are not aware of their education, their future and it is poor if we see our Moslem brothers in our country behaving badly and intentionally avoiding Islamic teachings to follow the western culture. We can’t imagine and describe what is going to happen in the next time if all young Moslem people are careless in their responsibility.

We have to be aware that the responsibility of nation developing and religion establishing depend on the young generation. By those considerations we should be very careful with any of destructive western lifestyle and culture that would affect the Islamic values and teachings.

As the Moslem generation, we have a great responsibility to the future of religion and nation. Young generation is the only hope of the life of nation, the development and the decline of nation depend on them. And the victory and the destruction of religion and nation are on the hands of next generation. It’s quite right what Mustofa Al-gholayain said in the book of Idhotun Nasyi’in “Yaa ma’syarosyabaab, inna fii yadiikum amrol ummah, wafii aqdaamikum hayaatahaa”

“Hi youths…surely all kind of community’s problem, in the success of not depend on your hands, and surely the development of religion, nation and country are on your shoulder”

Dear Moslems!
Last but not the least; I would like to call you all to prepare our generation in order to be able to replace the old generation in the future. And I hope you and all Moslem society and Moslem brothers wherever they are to obtain from bad action and furthermore we have to develop our skill and potency to reach up the brighter future. Amin ya robbal alamiin.

That’s all for my speech and thanks a lot for your attention

Wassalamu’aliakum Wr. Wb.

PIDATO UNTUK ANAK SEKOLAH

EVERYBODY NEEDS FANTASY

Ladies and gentlemen, do you remember the first time you saw magic? Well, when I was a little kid, my kindergarten teacher showed me a trick. That was when I first watched magic. She did this:(performing) "Hey kids, look at this handkerchief. I push this blue handkerchief into my hand, and watch. It's gone! But if you say a magic word, 'abracadabra', you can make it reappear!" I couldn't believe my eyes. And this experience inspired me to start learning magic. Today, however, instead of taking you to the mysterious world of magic, I'd like to discuss how the fantasy of magic can create a more pleasant life.

Now, what is your response when you see a trick like this? Through my experience as a magician, I've found that there are mainly two different types of reactions when people see magic. Let me explain.

The first group of people try to enjoy the illusion. They accept the fantasy of magic, and try to believe what is going on in front of their eyes.

The second group of people don't distinguish the fantasy of magic from the world of reality. They either persist in finding out the secrets of the trick, or have no interest in magic at all. Instead they feel they are cheated by the magician, and therefore they don't enjoy the experience.

Now, which type are you, ladies and gentlemen? Of course for the magician, the first group of people makes the most desirable audience. But in today's busy society, I think the people of group 2 are at a disadvantage because I have a feeling that this attitude has something to do with one of our current problems, that is, 'stress'.

As you know, many of us are under increasing amounts of stress these days. Actually we are living in a very busy society and there are even children who suffer from stomach ulcers, which are considered to be a disease caused by stress. Many of us seek out the ways to alleviate the stress. But I think whether we suffer from stress or not depends largely on our attitude.

For example, the first group of people enjoy everything. They are cheerful, and naturally relaxed. On the other hand the second group of people never leave the world of reality and often try to find fault with everything. For instance, when recommended to try something new, they worry, "Is this going to be fun?" or "Isn't that a waste of time?" And after that, they complain, "I shouldn't have done that!", and feel stress again. Or some people are at a loss as to how to make themselves relaxed, and their free time is spent just lying in front of TV all day, mostly wasting time.

I think people of group 2 lack the spirit of having fun, and that's why they can't relax and be happy. Although they'd like to be relaxed and happy, they make their own situations worse by being critical of everything even when relaxing. They also feel uneasy on the job, always thinking they are too busy, "I need some time to unwind." In spite of this when it comes to their free time, they feel uneasy again, thinking, "Oh, it's not the time to amuse myself. I'd better devote myself to my job."

Of course, it might depend on one's character or the life situation whether you can become the perfect group 1 people. But after all everybody needs fantasy somewhere deep inside, and the essence of relaxation is the spirit of having fun. Movies are a good example. There are so many kinds of movies, and the stories in most movies would hardly ever come true in our daily life. However, do we enjoy them when we are critical of the storyline? Do we enjoy them when we have doubt in our minds? The answer is definitely "No". We enjoy them only by trying to believe the story, by trying to feel as if we are on the screen.

In Japan, working hard without taking a rest is often considered to be a great virtue. Of course, it is important to be diligent, but it's not everything. We also need some time to put everything aside, escape our routine, and just relax. If we can fully appreciate our leisure time, we are refreshed, and can concentrate on our jobs once again. So let's take the opportunity to escape with a spirit of having fun, to live a really happy life.

I myself came to realize how good it is to be a group 1 person through my magic. And as a saying goes, "Everybody loves magicians." I believe magic is one of the best ways to have fun and relax. So I'd like to finish my speech by showing you some of my favorite tricks. (I show the audience a handkerchief) Well, I'm not here today for my magic show, but I stand here just to remind you of one thing. (It immediately changes into a cane.) That is, (I make the flower appear.) "It's time to smell the flowers!" And if you totally enjoyed my speech and magic, —I'm happy to tell you— you are a group 1 person already. Congratulations!

PIDATO TENTANG HIV / AIDS

HIV / AIDS

I am honoured to be invited to address you today on a matter that so deeply affects South Africa, Africa and indeed the whole world.

HIV/AIDS has been with us for about two decades, but it remains a problem whose solution continues to elude us all. We are making some progress in understanding this challenge, but we still have a long way to go in containing its spread.

Although people from all walks of life are affected, AIDS is hitting hard at the most vulnerable sections of our society. It is the poor, the illiterate, the marginalised, the women and the children who bear most of the burden of the HIV epidemic.

The face of HIV/AIDS in South Africa has become more complex over the past 10 years. We are no longer only dealing with information and awareness, but with people that are faced with the reality of living with the disease. The vast majority of them are undiagnosed. Sebagian besar dari mereka adalah undiagnosed. They do not know their HIV status. Some of them are already falling ill but they do not know that their illnesses are related to HIV/AIDS. And even if they do know or suspect, they are reluctant to come out and talk about their condition.

I stand before you today to further consolidate our partnership in responding to this major challenge particularly the stigma that continue to be associated with it. We seek your partnership because we know that every South African citizen, every leader, bishop or priest has a special and unique role to play in combating HIV infection and caring for those living with HIV/AIDS.

The church has always played a role of caring for those who are weak and in need of support. But you have been able to initiate programmes that really make a difference in the lives of those in need of care particularly the children. The care that you have given has ot been limited only to the message of hope and spiritual well-being. I am convinced that the church can play a major role in fighting the stigma that is associated with HIV/AIDS and encourage openness and positive living amongst those who are infected and affected.

To ensure a common direction in the call for partnerships, we initiated the development of the Five Year Strategic Plan for South Africa, in 2000 in collaboration with all the key stakeholders, including the faith-based sector. It is a broad national strategic plan designed to guide the country's response to HIV/AIDS. The plan outline four priority areas, which are: (1) Prevention, (2) Treatment, Care and Support, (3) Research, Monitoring and Surveillance and (4) Human Rights.

There can be no doubt that the faith based community has a central role to play in the implementation of this plan.

There are numerous examples of how the faith sector is responding or can respond to this challenge. I will like to raise for discussion at least four key roles that Faith-based organisations and individual members of those organisations can play in responding to HIV/AIDS.

With regard to Education, we can:
  • Identify resources and models for prevention education
  • Strengthen HIV/AIDS prevention through family enrichment
  • Enhance HIV/AIDS prevention through youth programmes - building a solid foundation concerning sexuality, responsible adulthood and marriage, appreciating the youth and breaking the silence about sex.

On Advocacy, we can:
  • Campaign against discrimination
  • Work together with government in achieving appropriate levels of cost-effective health care, especially home based care
  • Seek means to protect interests of particularly women and children
  • On Worship, we can
  • Establish an annual National Day of Prayer and Healing for all persons affected by the epidemic
  • Establish an interfaith Day of Prayer and Healing Service, we can
  • Provide care which involves encouraging and supporting those who are infected and affected
  • Promote 'Family fostering' for those who have lost their parents or guardians
  • Take part in providing home care which may include:
-          Home visits for prayer and scripture reading
-          Meeting physical needs for food, clothing, medical attention
-          Assistance in planning for the future of the family particularly children
-          Support for orphaned children
-          Assisting with basic household activities such as shopping, cleaning the house or washing clothes

At the All Africa Church and AIDS Consultation which was held in Kampala in April 1994 a "Call to Action" was developed and signed. Similarly, "A commitment on HIV/AIDS by people of faith", was signed in Washington that same  year. I will like to quote at least one section of this statement of commitment, and I quote:

"We are called by God to affirm a life of hope and healing in the midst of HIV/AIDS. Our traditions call us to embody and proclaim hope, and to celebrate life and healing in the midst of suffering."

We therefore need to send a positive message about HIV/AIDS. We need to tell people that just because you are HIV positive today, it does not mean you will get AIDS tomorrow and die. Co-factors such as poverty, high levels of mainly childhood malnutrition, vitamin A and iodine deficiency as well as lack of other micronutrients have a major impact on how one progress to full-blown AIDS.

We have to advise those infected and affected by HIV that by eating nutritious food, managing their stress, treating any infection promptly including sexually transmitted infections and using condoms, they can live longer and lead a healthy and productive life for many years.

We need to use this opportunity to declare our response to AIDS:
-          We are called to love
-          We are called to be compassionate and care
-          We should commit ourselves to speaking publicly and promote HIV/AIDS prevention and ABC messages
-          We should promote and provide care for those who are infected and affected
-          We should fight the sins of discrimination and stigma
-          We should work together with other sectors of society to seek ways of eliminating poverty

I strongly believe that if we can leave this conference with a strong re-affirmation as the faith based leaders of this country, we will be able to provide hope for the faith community and for society as a whole: That in the spirit of love, compassion and care, through collective efforts to confront and to challenge discrimination and to empower our respective believers, we can overcome many of the challenges posed to us by HIV/AIDS.

Thank you.
